Background & Introduction

 Program Description

The Doctor of Education (EdD) program is designed to equip educational practitioners with more relevant skills and help them gain greater insights into problems and challenges, which enable them to render greater and more efficient service to the students and to society as a whole.

At present, the program offers one major, which is Educational Management. This major was carefully designed by major stakeholders in conformity with the Memorandum Order No. 53, s. 2007. The design includes the various components that correspond to the specialized knowledge and skills that are needed by a practitioner, professional teacher, and educational administrator. The curriculum follows an OBE curriculum and adopts varied modalities to equip the students with the desired competencies through lecture discussion, immersion, conduct of trainings and seminars, blended learning, research-based requirements, presentation of outputs, ICT integration, and other learning strategies that develop multiple intelligences and the 21st century. skills. It is responsive to the development goals as reflected in the vision and mission of the University

Program Outcomes:

PO1: Demonstrate in-depth understanding of contemporary educational leadership theories, and best practices to lead transformational change in schools and educational organizations.

PO2: Generate new knowledge through rigorous research and scholarly inquiry that addresses critical educational challenges and contributes evidence-based innovations to educational policy and practice.
